I love to spend time in the most wild places I can find - the further from pavement the better; photographing these places is the icing on the cake.

It isn’t just the beauty and grandeur of wilderness that I find so special, it is nature's constant lesson of perspective and humility. To walk amongst trees as tall as skyscrapers, over mountains that are billions of years old, or through the deepest and narrowest crack on the planet are among a few of the humbling experiences I’ve had. These places are reminders of the scale and brevity of being human, and to make the most of every moment we have.

I live in an urban environment, and though it is the antithesis of wilderness it can still be found if you look for it. Many of these photographs were created just a short walk from my home, and others required several days of hiking to see. I hope you are inspired.
